itineray in Bergamo
Itineraries from Villa Medici Giulini:

Bergamo is 40 minutes far from Briosco. We directly reach the high town, that is the monumental part of the city. The itinerary can be as follows:

- Visit of the Piazza Vecchia with the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore, the Baptistery and the Cappella Colleoni.
- We visit after Donizetti’s native house,  normally closed to the public.
-  Visit of Palazzo Terzi, with the magnificent honour hall and the precious parlour of the mirrors. It is still the residence of the Terzi family, and it is opened only for particular occasions.
- Lunch, always in the high Bergamo, can be at Restaurant “L’Agnello d’Oro”, famous for its typical cooking.
- Visit of Palazzo Moroni, built in 17th century by Francesco Moroni, who asked to Giangiacomo Bardelli to decorate the interiors. The first floor, which can be reached with a flight of steps entirely frescoed, keeps all the furniture and masterpieces that  testimony the passion of the family for the art collections, with pieces of Luini, Moroni, Baschenis, Fra’ Galgario. Also the visit of the wonderful garden is of great interest.
- Visit of Palazzo Agliardi, with the ceilings decorated by 18th century frescoes, and the charming central hall facing on the hanging garden. It is private, property of the Agliardi family. The three palaces: Terzi, Moroni and Agliardi are considered as three jewels of the Lombard architecture, and are extremely important for the collection sod furniture and paintings which are kept.
- Visit of the museo donizettiano, where musical instruments, handwritings and souvenirs of the Maestro are kept.
- Visit of the Accademia Carrara, one of the most rich picture-galleries in Lombardy. Paintings by Lorenzo Lotto are famous.
- The return to Villa Medici is for the evening.
