From Villa Medici we can reach, with a travel of about an hour, the villas on the hills around Varese. A particular itinerary can be as follows:

-      Visit of Villa Cicogna Mozzoni in Bisuschio. The first building is dated 1463, and it was completed in 1550. From Cremona the brothers Campi were called for painting the halls. It is forever property of the Cicogna Mozzoni Family.  The characteristic of the Villa is the architectonic continuity of the design of the Villa together with the Italianate Garden. From the halls we can admire the two flights of steps with the classical fountain in the middle. The layout of the boxes, the water falls, the grotto are typical of the Italianate gardens.
-      Near the villa it is possible to have lunch at the Villa Castiglioni in Induno Olona. The building is a wonderful Villa of 18^th century.
-      In the afternoon we go further to Villa Della Porta Bozzolo in Casalzuigno, property of the F.A.I. It was built on 16th Century as a country house, and became after a representation house, enriched inside by Rococo frescoes. The Italianate garden alternates the terraces with the wonderful flight of steps, the statues with the fountains and with the great green spaces. It is a visit of great interest, out of the normal tourist itineraries. The two villas represent an important chapter in the architectonic garden history in Lombardy.
-      Caming back to Varese for stop in Villa Panza in Biumo where is possible to visit the Giuseppe Panza ‘s collection of modern art. It’s a property of FAI.
-     Caming back to Villa Medici is possible to eat at “La Vignetta” in Cremango at ten minutes from the Villa. The restaurant has a beautiful hall with an old chimney or with a terrace.
