Since 2016 she has been responsible for the singing courses of the Accademia della Scala.
\nLuciana D\u2019Intino, mezzo-soprano, debuts in the role of Azucena (Il Trovatore) after winning the international competition \u201cAdriano Belli\u201d in Spoleto. From this moment on, she became one of the best and most appreciated mezzo-soprano voices of our times.<\/p>\n

After the memorable success in Aida at Covent Garden she was defined by the Sunday Times \u00aba glorious mezzo-soprano [\u2026] the most exciting singer in her role emerged from Italy in recent years\u00bb. Particularly appreciated in the Italian and French repertoire, Luciana D\u2019Intino is a regular guest of the most prestigious theatres in the world such as: Teatro alla Scala, Metropolitan of New York, Covent Garden, Wiener Staatsoper, Staatsoper unter den Linden in Berlin, Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, Zurich Opernhaus, Santiago del Chile Municipal Theatre, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, La Fenice of Venezia, Teatro Comunale of Bologna, Opera of Roma, San Carlo of Napoli, Regio of Parma and Rossini Opera Festival, collaborating with conductors such as Salvatore Accardo, Daniel Baremboim, Semyon Bychkov, Myung-Whun Chung, Colin Davis, Daniele Gatti, James Levine, Lorin Maazel, Zubin Mehta, Riccardo Muti and George Pr\u00eatre.<\/p>\n

Among her recent successes are the performances of Don Carlo at the Opernhaus in Zurich, the Wiener Staatsoper and the Op\u00e9ra National de Paris; Verdi\u2019s Requiem at the Regio of Parma, Comunale of Bologna, the Chor\u00e9gies d\u2019Orange, the Musikverein in Vienna with Riccardo Muti and at the Philarmonie in Berlin with Daniel Barenboim; Aida at the Metropolitan in New York, the Teatro alla Scala and the Wiener Staatsoper; Boris Godunov and Il trovatore at the Opernhaus in Zurich; Il trovatore at the Liceu in Barcelona; Aida at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich and the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino; Cavalleria rusticana at the Teatro alla Scala and the Liceu in Barcelona.<\/p>\n

In 2011 her long-awaited debut as Aunt Princess in Sister Angelica at the Op\u00e9ra National de Paris was greeted with enthusiasm from the public and critics. She inaugurated the 2013\/14 season with her return to the stage of the Op\u00e9ra National de Paris as Amneris in Aida, followed by Adriana Lecouvreur in Bilbao, again in Paris she played Adriana Lecouvreur, Il Trovatore and La Gioconda at the Op\u00e9ra National, in Vienna she was applauded as Amneris (Aida), while in Palermo she was Santuzza in Cavalleria Rusticana and in Rome she played Verdi\u2019s Requiem; Il Trovatore (Azucena) in Paris. Her most recent engagements include: Sister Angelica (aunt princess) in Naples; Carmen and Aida at the Arena of Verona and Adriana Lecouvreur in Naples.<\/p>\n

She has several recordings to her credit, among which are noteworthy Lo frate\u2019nnamorato with the direction of Riccardo Muti and L\u2019occasione fa il ladro with the direction of Salvatore Accardo (Ricordi), Don Carlo with the direction of Riccardo Muti (Emi), GuglielmoTell (Philips), La gazza ladra with the direction of Gianluigi Gelmetti (Sony) and Aureliano in Palmira (New Era).
