The course aims to analyse, vocally and musically, the stylistic differences in the evolution of Opera in Italian from Neoclassicism to Verismo, and to analyse the piano accompaniment technique, both in the opera and chamber repertoire. Particular attention will also be given to the technique of the “recitativo secco“, in the comic opera as well in the serious, from Mozart to the Italian Belcanto.
