Villa Medici Giulini is an ideal place where it is possible to study with great artists who regularly teach by holding master classes all over the world for those young people who wish to improve their professional preparation.
The final recital takes place in the Teatrino which completed Villa Medici and offers the experience of an authentic stage.
Fernanda Giulini recounts her encounter with an exceptional musician, Paul Badura-Skoda. The Maestro combined great success as a soloist with a profound knowledge of historical instruments, regularly compared with modern instruments. It was he and JörgDemus, a great collector and friend, who opened the magical world of historical pianos to her.
The masterclasses project was born from the desire to share the extraordinary experience of comparing historical and modern instruments, and in general from the idea of making the historic home live as an “artist’s residence” in which it is pleasant to work in music with famous opera personalities and outstanding soloists.
